Three Europeans - Spain's Noemi Jimenez, Sweden's Madelene Sagstrom and Northern Ireland's Stephanie Meadow - finished 1-2-3 today in the Darius Tucker Intercollegiate women's tournament at Long Cove Club, Hilton Head Island in South Carolina.

Jimenez, picturedArizona State's sophomore student from Malaga, was winning back-to-back tournaments, the first Arizona State player since Louise Stahle - a former winner of the British women's open amateur championship - did it in 2003.
She shot 72-69-68 for four-under-par 209 over  par-71 course of 6211yd.
Madelene Sagstrom (Louisiana State), also a second-year student, had rounds of 71, 69 and 75 to finish four shots behind the winner in second place on 213.
British women's open amateur champion and Curtis Cup heroine Stephanie Meadow (Alabama) finished on 214 after saddling herself with an opening round of 77 and then clicking into gear with subsequent rounds of 70 and 67.
It is just possible that Jimenez and Sagstrom will be playing for the Continent of Europe in the Vagliano Trophy match at Chantilly, Paris in June ... with Stephanie Meadow in the GB and I line-up.
England's Elizabeth Mallett (North Carolina), a former British girls championship beaten finalist, finished inside the top 20 with scores of 73, 77 and 73 for 223 and a share of 17th place.
Aberdeen-born Katy Cardno (Texas Christian) came T72 on 244 with rounds of 84, 83 and 79.
A total of 81 players took part in the individual championship.
Stephanie Meadow's effort helped Alabama to win the team title with a total of 876, four ahead of Louisiana State and Vanderbilt. Arizona State (887) finished fourth with Arkansas and North Carolina bracketed in fifth place on 889 in a field of 15 teams.

Northern Arizona (597) won the team title ahead of Xavier (600) with Arkansas-Little Rock and Eastern Michigan (both 61) tied for third place in a fierld of 17 teams. Missouri State (611) finished ninth.
