ABBEY GITTINGS JT 3RD AS NOVA SET WIN THREE IN A ROW


Abbey Gittings, from Tamworth, a senior year student at Nova Southeastern University, Fort Lauderdale in Florida, finished joint third and help her college chalked up a third straight team winin the Bison Invitational at Paiute Golf Resort, Las Vegas in Nevada.
Over a par-72 course of 6,004yd, Abbey, pictured, shot 76-71 for 147 - three behind the winner, Samantha Morrell (Old Dominion University, Virginia) (75-69 for 144.
Abbey's Swedish team-mate, freshman Linnea Johansson was second with 74-72 for 146. 
Elizabeth Haycock (Old Dominion), a junior year student from Birmningham, finished T7 on 151 (77-74).
Rachel Lewis (Nova SE), a junior from Cardiff finished T9 on 152 (78-74).
Charlotte Hindmoor (Old Dominion), a freshman from Darlington, finished 19h on 155 (77-78).
Paisley-born Kirsty Condon (Radford) shared 30th place with a pair of 79s for 158. 
There were 68 players in the field.
Nova Southeastern's winning team total was 586, 15 shots ahead of runners-up Old Dominion with Radford (628) 8th of 13 teams. 

ROSIE MAKES TOP 15 AT TUCSON
Londoner Rosie Davies (Indiana) finished T14 on 219 with three steady scores of 72-74-73  in the Mountain View Collegiate at Mountain View Golf Club, Tucson, Arizona.
She finished 10 shots behind the winner Krista Puisite (Texas State) (73-67-69) who won by two over a par-72, 6,227yd course.
Texas Tech (853) won the team title ahead of San Jose State (859) with Indiana (878) sixth of 15 teams.
