JKSS MEEK IS TOP BRITISH QUALIFIER FOR MAJORCA MATCH-PLAY

Three English players and one Scot figured among the 32 qualifiers for the match-play stages of the Spanish women's amateur international championship at Pula Golf Club, 
Majorca today.
Carnoustie Ladies' youngster Jess Meek, pictured, was the highest placed of the four.
She qualified in joint ninth place with scores of 75 and 79 for 154 - seven shots behind the top seed, France's Shannon Aubert (73-74).
Amber Ratcliffe from Royal Cromer made it through in joint 19th place on 156 with a pair of 78s.
Scottish Under-16 open champion last year, Gabriella Cowley qualified in joint 24th place with scores of 78 and 79 for 157.
And the final British qualifier was Alexandra Peters in T27 position on 158 with a pair of 79s.
The cut-off line for the 32 match-play qualifiers was 158 and better.
Those who failed to make it included Scottish U18 girls champion Lauren Whyte (St Andrews) with 76-83 for 159, just one shot too many.
Ireland's Chloe Ryan missed out on 166 (85-81)
So too did North Berwick's Junior Vagliano player, Clara Young with 84-85 for 169.
Charlotte Thompson from England was a non-qualifier on 175 with scores of 90 and 85.
