LYDIA KO BEATEN BY 19th QUALIFIER IN AUSSIE WOMEN'S AMATEUR
World No 1 female amateur Lydia Ko (New Zealand), pictured, was surprisingly beaten by the 19th qualifier Jo Charlton (Victoria) in the second round of the Australian women's open amateur championship at Commonwealth Golf Club, Melbourne today.
Ko, only 16, was the defending champion and had qualified for the match-play stages in joint first place (a card countback made her the No 2 seed).
