GEMMA DRYBURGH FINISHES T12 (second amateur) IN SUNCOAST TOUR EVENT

Aberdeen-born Gemma Dryburgh, a student at Tulane University, New Orleans finished joint 12th in the SunCoast Tour women's professional tournament at Disney's Lake Buena Vista course, Orlando in Florida.
The 19-year-old daughter of a North Sea Oil executive shot rounds of 74, 77 and 77 over the par-73 course for a total of 228.
She finished 15 strokes behind the winner of the $2,000 first prize, Sandra Chagkija, an Orlando-based tour pro, who had rounds of 69, 73 and 71 for six-under 213 and a two-stroke margin of victory over Karlin Beck from Montgomery, Alabama. Karlin earned $1,000.
Maria Hjorth from Sweden, a former Stirling University student, tied for third place on 217 with Stefanie Kenoyer (Lighthouse Point, Florida) and Bradenton, Florida amateur Doris Chen.
Dryburgh, a Scotland girl international, finished second of the 10 amateurs in the field of 32 players.
 Jaye Marie Green from Boca Raton, Florida, making her debut as a professional, collected $500 for sixth place on 219
