PAMELA, VIKKI LEAD SCOTS IN MOROCCO

Pamela Feggans and Vikki Laing have taken over as the leading Scots following Heather MacRae's second-round slump in the Ladies European Tour Final Qualifying School at Marrakech, Morocco.
Feggans, pictured, from Patna, Ayrshire shot a two-under 70 for two-under 142, the same total as Musselburgh's Laing who followed up a 69 with a 73. They are lying joint 43rd and the top 60 and ties after four rounds will go forward to Monday's final 18 holes at the Al Maaden course.
Stirling student Kelsey MacDonald (Nairn Dunbar) is playing along quite steadily but so high is the standard of play in the top half of the field of 141 that her scores of 71 and 72 for a one-under-par tally of 143 leave her only in joint 52nd place.
Heather MacRae was within reach of the leaders after an opening 68 but she ran up a 76 today (Friday) for a level par tally and joint 59th place. She needs to get back to that first-day form over the weekend.
MacRae birdied the third and fourth was was five over par for the remaining holes, including a double bogey 6 at the eighth.
Carnoustie's Katy McNicoll is struggling to recapture the form that earned her fourth place in the LETAS Order of Merit, just one place away from leapfrogging the Q School and going straight on to the 2013 LET circuit, as fellow Scot Pamela Pretswell has done.
McNicoll is on two-over 146 after a pair of 73s and is two shots over the projected qualifying figure of level par at the end of 72 holes. She is lying joint 80th at the moment and somehow or other has to climb up into the top 60 and ties by Sunday evening.
Biggest name in danger of failing to make it to the final day is Curtis Cup star and English amateur champion Kelly Tidy from Lancashire. She is lying joint 115th on 150 after rounds of 78-72.
