LPGA T&CP National Team Championship

After two days of play on the Championship and Challenge Courses at Palm Valley Country Club in Palm Desert, California, LPGA and World Golf Halls of Fame member, Amy Alcott, and team-mate, Kathryn Imrie, took the title in a one-hole play-off against Heather Drew and Alison Finney.
The team of Alcott and Imrie, with a total score of 125 (68-57), took home $7,000 for their victory.  “Amy was actually the third person I asked to play with me in this event,” commented Monifieth-born Imrie who is assistant head coach to fellow-Scot Anne Walker at Stanford University, California.
“I have to say, I am glad the way things worked out.”
Drew and Finney also shot a 10 under par 125 and fell just short of the title with a bogey on the first playoff hole.
Alcott joined the Teaching and Club Professional division of the LPGA this year. She is now a dual Tour/Teaching member.
“A win, no matter what it is, feels good,” added Alcott.  “I am happy to be part of the Teaching division and enjoyed seeing old friends.”
