GERMAN BOY, DANISH GIRL WIN DORAL PUBLIX JUNIOR CLASSIC TITLES

Winners at the 31st Doral Publix Junior Golf Classic in Florida were:
In the boys' 16-18 action, Alexander Matlari (Germany) shot a 54-hole total of 213  (68-75-70) to prevail by two strokes from runner-up Danny Guise from Connecticut (71-74-70).
In the girls' 16-18 tournament, Emily Pedersen (Denmark) shot a final round 71  (74-70-71-215) to best Texas player Lakereber Abe who shot a final round 72 (72-72-72-216) .
In the boys' 14-15 competition Jorge Villar from Howey in The Hills, Florida shot a three-day total 211 (72-72-67). Runner-up was Stefano Butti from Palm City, Florida with scores of 73-71-75 for 215.
More success for European competitors in the girls' 14 to 15 years' section.
Cecilie Bofill (Germany) had a final round 69 (75-71-69-215) for a one stroke win over Switzerland's Albane Valenzuela (77-70-69-216).
More than 700 competitors - a record for the tournament - took part.
