Scottish amateur champion Grant Forrest from North Berwick, a student at San Diego University, is lying fourth in a field of 79 players as the Warrior Wave Intercollegiate 54-hole tournament enters its final round at the Princeville Resort, Hawaii.
Forrest (pictured) has shot a pair of 70s for a four-under-par tally of 140 over a longish par-72 course of 7,223yd.
Albin Choi (North Carolina State) leads with 68-68 for 137.
He is two shots ahead of team-mate Mitch Sutton (71-68) and Korey Ward (Xavier) (68-71)
Forrest is not the only Scot in the field - Scott Gibson from Dumfries, a student at East Tennessee State University, is in joint 10th position on 142 after rounds of 72 70.
GB and I Walker Cup player Rhys Pugh, also East Tennessee State, is back in joint 37th place on 148 (77-71)
