STRATHMORE GIRL'S REPEAT GLENEAGLES WIN

Linlithgow's Cameron McAndrew and Kirsty Brodie (Strathmore) won the respective boys' and girls' titles at the Highland Spring Junior Masters Grand Final over the Queen's Course, Gleneagles. For 12-year-old Kirsty it was a repeat of last year's success when, playing off 13, she scored 40 Stableford points. Twelve months later, Kirsty, with her handicap down to 10, won the girls' top award with 39pt - three more than joint runners-up Julie Smith (Murrayfield), Eva O'Connor (Bothwell Castle) and Andrea Walker (Falkirk). Cameron McAndrew, playing off 12, totalled 42pt in the boys' section, winning by two clear points from Samuel Yule (Ballater) and Michael Baber (Hopeman.
