TOP TEN FINISH BY LINZI ALLAN AT OKLAHOMA CITY

Ayrshire's Linzi Allan (West Kilbride), pictured, secured a top 10 finish in the UCO Classic at Lincoln Park East GC, Oklahoma City this week.
The Scot, a student at Newman University, Wichita, Kansas, returned a pair of 73s for 146 over a par 71 course of 6,020yd, finished three shots behind the winner, Spaniard Anna Arrese (Oklahoma Christian University) (73-70)
Another Newman student, England's Megan Birdsey, finished T45 in a field of 92 players. She had scores of 81 and 75 for 156.
Newman (599) finished fourth of 17 behind team winners St Edwards (588).

CHARLOTTE DOWN THE FIELD IN WINDY CITY

Charlotte Thomas (Washington), originally from Surrey but a resident of Singapore in recent years, finished T23 in a field of 81 players at the Windy City Collegiate Championship over the Glen View Club course (par 72, 6,330yd) in Illinois.
Charlotte had rounds of 76, 73 and 75 for a total of 224, 10 shots behind the winner, April McCoy (Texas Christian) who shot 73, 72 and 69 for two-under-par 214. 
Five players tied for second place on 215.
Arizona (879) won the team title ahead of runners-up Washington (883) in a field of 15 teams.

EDITOR'S NOTE: We carried a story earlier in the week about Meghan MacLaren finished joint third in the Johnie Ines Invitational at The Club at Old Hawthorne, Columbia, Missouri.
What we did not mention were the performances of the British students who finished behind her.

Londoner Rosie Davies (Indiana), pictured, finished T8 on 219 with scores of 73, 71 and 75, 11 strokes behind the winner by six, Melanie White (Southern Methodist) (74-65-69 for eight-under 208). 
Jessica Schiele (Oklahoma City) from Grimsby finished T13 on 221 with scores of 77, 73 and 71.
Emma Clegg from Lancashire and a student a Missouri State, finished T27 on 226 with scores of 75, 76 and 75.
Katie Reid (Arkansas-Little Rock) from Dundee finished 92nd on 253 with scores of 81, 87 and 85. Southern Methodist (876) won the team event ahead of Missouri (8850 with Kansas State (88) third of 19 teams.

SIAN EVANS FINISHES 2ND , HELPS 
EAST TENNESSEE STATE WIN TITLE

 
Sian Evans (East Tennessee State), pictured, from Gillingham finished second in the UNCG Starmount Fall Classic at Starmount Forest GC, Greensboro, North Carolina - and she helped her college win the team event by a whacking margin.
Sian had rounds of 70, 71 and 71 for a one-under total of 212 over a par-71, 6265yd course.
But she finished six shots behind the winner with a seven-under-par total, East Carolina freshman from Sweden, Frida, Gustafsson Span who shot 66, 70 and 70 for 206 in only her second US college event. 
Former England girls cap Heidi Baek (Maryland) finished T9 on 220 with rounds of 73, 73 and 74 for 220.
Scot Sammy Vass (Gardner-Webb) finished T30 on 227 with rounds of 74, 77 and 76.
East Tennessee State (852), with four players in the top six, won the team title ahead of runners-up Maryland (876) in a field of 16 teams.
