GALE-LASHED CRETE WOMEN'S OPEN NOW DOWN TO 18 HOLES TOMORROW

For the second day in a row, no play was possible today in the Crete Women's Open golf championship due to 50mph winds sweeping across the Greek island.
The scheduled 54-hole tournament has now been truncated to 18 holes on Tuesday - if the wind drops.
It might well go down in golfing history as the first pro tournament of more than 36 holes to be blown right off the calendar.
Scots among the field waiting to play in this Ladies European Tour developmental circuit event are Pamela Pretswell, Katy McNicoll, Gemma Webster, Pamela Feggans and Kelsey MacDonald.
Curtis Cup stars of the victory over the Americans at Nairn last June, Holly Clyburn and Kelly Tidy, are set to make their debuts as professionals.
A third Curtis Cup team member, teenager Charley Hull, is also among the entries. She is still an amateur.
