BEFORE THEY WERE STARS .. THEY PLAYED AT THE HDA FESTIVAL

Many of the current crop of leading English lady golfers cut their competitive teeth in the girls' events at past Hacienda del Alamo Festivals.
For instance, Meghan MacLaren, who has already won twice in her Freshman Year at Florida International University, was a regular attender at the early Festivals around 2007.
Curtis Cup stars Holly Clyburn and Amy Boulden made the trip to Hacienda del Alamo as youngsters.
So too did Ami Storey, Charlie Douglass, Kelsey MacDonald and many other leading lights. They have all played at the HDA Festival in years gone by.

Following a very encouraging initial response, actual entries so far for the 2013 Festival are disappointing, to say the least!

I am hoping that this is just due to the fact that players are still in the process of confirming their dates and travel arrangements, before submitting their entry forms.
