MEDIA RELEASE FROM IRISH LADIES GOLF UNION
The second day of the Private Home Care Inter-Club Championships at Courtown, saw semi final encounters take place in the Intermediate, Junior and Minor Cups.
Lee Valley and Malone progressed to tomorrow’s final of the Intermediate Cup with relative ease, disposing of opponents Clontarf & Tuam respectively. St. Anne’s and Mountbellew’s progression to the final of the Minor Cup were much closer affairs with both teams leaving it until the final holes to defeat their challengers Dunmurry and Waterford Castle.
Friday’s other final will see Wexford and Clandeboye contest the Junior Cup following wins over Castletroy and Westport.
Afternoon quarter final playoffs in the Challenge Cup and Junior Foursomes resulted in Co. Armagh and Castletroy securing their place in tomorrow’s semi finals.
Friday’s schedule of play is completed with the Senior Foursomes which will consist of a quarter final playoff in the morning followed by semi finals in the afternoon.
