WINNING STARTS BY MIDLOTHIAN AND FIFE IN EAST JAMBOREE

Scottish women's county champions Midlothian made a satisfactory start to their defence of the East Division title at Turnhouse Golf Club today. They beat Stirling and Clackmannan 6 1/2 to 2 1/2.
