LADIES' GOLF UNION RECRUITING

The Ladies’ Golf Union (“LGU”) is the encompassing body for ladies’ amateur golf throughout Great Britain and Ireland. Through its subsidiary company, LGU Championships Limited, it is specifically responsible for the delivery of national and international championships including British Championships, Home International matches, International matches including the Curtis Cup, and the Ricoh Women’s British Open.

Applications are currently being invited for the following positions, primarily based in St Andrews, but with some necessity for travel.

CHAMPIONSHIP ASSISTANT (SEASONAL) 
 (Full Time) 
The successful candidate will be a self-motivated individual able to work as part of the golf operations team, as directed, in the delivery of the Curtis Cup match, selected championships and events, and through the provision of administrative and operational support. Strong communication and organisational skills are essential, while attention to detail and the ability to work to tight deadlines are imperative. Experience in the use of Microsoft Office packages and the internet is a requirement. The post holder will report to the Head of Golf Operations, should demonstrate a positive attitude and willingness to learn, and needs to be willing to work away from home to deliver golf events.

CHAMPIONSHIP ADMINISTRATOR (SEASONAL) 
(Part Time – in the region of 16 hours per week) 
Applicants will provide administrative support, primarily to the Golf Operations team, and assist in database management, championship procurement and resource services, handling of championship queries and general support activities. This position would suit a self-motivated individual who likes working as part of a team but is equally capable of working alone. IT literacy, a positive attitude and willingness to learn are essential. An interest and knowledge of golf would be advantageous. The post holder may be asked to work away from home in support of specific events.

For both of these posts, the salary and benefits packages will be commensurate with experience.
