Irish Ladies Golf Union Press Release

K CLUB AND CO. ARMAGH THROUGH TO SEMI-FINALS
OF IRELAND'S INTER-CLUB FOUR-BALL

The K Club and Co. Armagh are through to the All-Ireland semi-finals of the Miele Ireland Ladies Interclub Four-ball following victories over Dublin City and Letterkenny in the East and North Regional Finals held at Slieve Russell, Co Cavan today.
Having failed in last year’s Eastern Regional Final, the K Club had to dig deep to overcome a strong Dublin City side who were making their first appearance in the latter stages of the competition.
Dublin City started brightly and held the advantage over the outward stretch but The K Club’s vast experience at this level told and eventually closed out the encounter 3-1.
Meanwhile in the Northern Regional Final, Co Armagh came from behind in three of their four ties to squeeze out a desperately unlucky Letterkenny team.
The Donegal side rallied strongly over the opening holes but Co. Armagh weathered the inclement drizzle the better and emerged victoirios by a 3-1 margin.
Both sides now join the winners of the South and West Regional Finals at the All-Ireland Semi-Finals at Mount Juliet on Saturday 15th September with the All-Ireland Final taking place the following day.
