KELSEY AND SAMMY JOIN THE
BOYS ON GRAMPIAN HOUSTON
JUNIOR TRIP IN OCTOBER

Kelsey MacDonald (Nairn Dunbar), who will be 17 in October, and 15-year-old Sammy Vass (Tain), pictured right, have been named alongwith 10 boys for the Grampian Houston Junior Golf Trip to Texas in October.
While there they will play some of the best courses in the Houston area.
The trip was originally started by PGA professional Bruce Davidson from Banchory. He is now the Director of Golf at the exclusive River Oaks Golf & Country Club near Houston.
Davidson was himself a golf scholarship student at St Thomas University, Houston and this biennial trip for a dozen teenage golfers from the Grampian Region is to give them the opportunity to sample what life and golf is like in Texas ... and perhaps impress one of the American college coaches who will be watching them in action enough to be offered a golf scholarship for the following year.
They will also be coached during the 10-day trip by Australian Steve Elkington, a major winner on the US Tour.
The names of the lucky boys and girls are:
ANDREW BAILLIE (Elgin).
FRASER CLARK (Westhill).
ADAM DUNTON (McDonald Ellon).
FRASER FOTHERINGHAM (Nairn).
CHRISTOPHER GAITTENS (Fortrose & Rosemarkie).
DAVID LAW (Hazlehead).
DONALD MACANDREW (Royal Aberdeen).
KELSEY MACDONALD (Nairn Dunbar).
RYAN PENNIE (Portlethen).
TOM RENNIE (Deeside).
TOM SPENCER (Inchmarlo).
SAMMY VASS (Tain).
