NO CARLY BOOTH IN P AND K TEAM

SURPRISE OMISSION FROM COUNTY LINE-UP AT CRIEFF

Perth & Kinross women's golf officials have announced a county team that does not include 13-year-old Carly Booth, winner of the Scottish Under-16 girls' open title in April and one of the best prospects in Britain - and possibly farther afield.
Miss Booth did not enter the P & K county championship, played at Blairgowrie at the weekend.
It is understood that the P&K officials were told that Carly was unavailable for selection to play in the team of eight against Northern Counties, Aberdeenshire and Angus at the Northern Division women's inter-county team championship, to be hosted by P&K,  at Crieff Golf Club from June 24 to 26.
Carly is also absent from the field for this week's Scottish women's amateur championship at Dunbar.
The winners of the Northern Division team championship meet the other three divisional winners at the Scottish women's county team championship finals from September 22 to 24 at The Hirsel Golf Club, Coldstream in the Borders.
The P and K line-up is:
Alexandra Bushby (Strathmore), Sally Kettlewell (Dunblane New), Jillian Milne (Craigie Hill), Emma Napper (Craigie Hill), Roseanne Niven (Crieff), Emily Ogilvy (Auchterarder), Fiona Ramsay (Crieff), Jane Yellowlees (Murrayshall).
Reserves - 1 Sal Shepherd (Pitlochry), 2 Jacqueline Sneddon (Alyth).
