JAMIESON IS TIED 76TH BEHIND
SPANISH WINNER OF US TITLE

Last year's Scottish amateur championship runner-up Scott Jamieson (Augusta State & Cathkin Braes) finished tied for 76th place in a field of more than 100 at the NCAA Division 1 men's championship which rang the curtain down on the 2002-2003 American college golf season.
Over one of the toughest courses ever used for the tournament, Scott had rounds of 86, 80, 72 and 78 for a 28-over-par total of 316.
Only one player finished under-par - Arizona State's 20-year-old freshman student Alejandro Canizares from Malaga. He shot a final round of three-under-par 69 over the 7,095yd course to come from six shots off the pace with 18 holes to go to win with a one-under-par total of 287. He won by two shots from overnight leader Lee Williams (Auburn) who sagged to a final-round 77 for 289.
David Skinns (Tennessee), the England international from Lincoln, was the leading British student in joint 22nd position in the final placings. He had scores of 76, 79, 68 and 76 for 11-over 299.
James Heath (Augusta State), from Surrey), finished tied 42nd on 305 while Olly Wilson (Augusta State) from Mansfield, ranked in America's top-10 before the event, could do no better than 59th equal on 311.
Clemson won the team event with a total of 1191, two shots ahead of Oklahoma State with UCLA third on 1197.
