IONA ROSKA FROM INVERNESS HAS T49 FINISH IN OKLAHOMA

Iona Roska from Inverness, an 18-year-old freshman at Cameron University, Oklahoma, shot scores of 76 and 83 for a total of 159 and a T49 finish in a field of 69 players at the Oklahoma Women's Intercollegiate golf tournament at Fort Sill, Oklahoma this week.
Iona took up golf only four years ago and was the only girl member at Inverness Golf Club. One of the reasons she accepted a golf scholarship at an American college was the chance to improve her game with regular competitive play.
She finished 21 strokes behind the winner at Fort Still, Emily Brennan (Midwestern State) who had rounds of 67 and 71 for 138, three shots clear of the field. Midwestern state (577) also won the team title. Cameron University (610) finished eighth of 12.
It was Cameron University's last tournament of the year. They will resume play on the American women's college golf circuit in the spring.
