IRISH SENIOR LADIES OPEN STROKE PLAY

Winner of the TAT
England A – Caroline Berry, Catherine Rawthore & Amanada Mayne

Blue sunny skies greeted the players as they took to the tee for the final round of the Irish Women’s Open Stroke Play in Belvoir Park. Yesterday’s leader, Christine Petit-Martin, was again extremely steady as she coasted through the first 9 without a blemish on the card. The chasing pack, led by Gertie McMullen, were now at least 8 shots adrift with only 9 holes to play leaving a substantial hill to climb if anyone was to challenge for the title. Catherine Rawthore of England made the best attempt at catching Christine as she carded a 3-under back nine. However, Christine was up to the task and produced another stunning back 9 to win out the tournament on 2 over par, 10 shots clear of rest of the field.
