Scotland 11th in the European Ladies and tied 9th in the European Girls

Connor Syme top Scot in European men's championship first qualifying round

Scotland are lying fifth after the first stroke-play qualifying round of the European men's amateur team championship at Diamond Country Club, Austria.
Top scorer for the Scots was Connor Syme with a 70 - four ahead of Craig Howie and Jamie Stewart with Liam Johnston returning a 75, Robert MacIntyre a disappointing 79 and Ryan Lumsden 80.
The other Scots teams in the European championships had varying degrees of success in their first qualifying rounds which define which eight teams go into the championship or lesser flights.
