HEATHER MUNRO NAMED CAA WOMEN'S GOLFER OF WEEK

RICHMOND, Va. – After recording her second straight top-10 individual finish, Elon University women's golfer Heather Munro has been named the CAA Women's Golfer of the Week.

Munro finished in a tie for ninth at the River Landing Classic, helping the Phoenix to a tie for sixth in the team standings. The Dundee native and Monifieth Golf Club member shot a five-over par 221 (72-75-74) over her three rounds of play. Munro recorded seven birdies throughout the event.

For the year, Munro has competed in all six of Elon's tournaments and has a 74.22 scoring average. She now has nine top-10 finishes in 25 career tournaments.

Munro and the Phoenix will be back on the links March 25-27 at the Babs Steffens Invitational in DeLand, Florida.
