ALEX PATTON JUST OUTSIDE TOP TEN FINISH IN TEXAS

Alexandra (Alex) Patton from Chippenham, a final-year student at Newman University, Wichita in Kansas, did well to finish T13 in a field of 105 players at the Midwestern State Invitational (March 13-14), hosted by Wichita Falls Country Club, Texas.
Alex had rounds of 81 and 77 in tough scoring conditions for a total of 158 over a par-72 course of 5,926yd.
Team-mate Emily Aird, also a final-year student, from Perth finished well down the field in T64 position after rounds of 80 and 87 for 167.
Joint individual winners were jointly Mica Easlin (Rogers State) with a pair of 75s and Addison Mitchell (Dallas Baptist), also with two 75s for 150.
Dallas Baptist (613) won the team title ahead of St Mary's Texas (623) with Tarleton State (626) third. Newman finished 12th with a total of 657 in a field of 20 teams.
