HARDER HALL INVITATIONAL

Gemma Clews tied third with a 73 after first round of "Harder Hall" in Florida

Vagliano Trophy GB and I 2017 team candidate Gemma Clews fared best of the players from this side of the Atlantic in the first round of the Orange Blossom women's amateur tour event, the Harder Hall Invitational, at Harder Hall Golf and Country Club, Sebring, Florida yesterday.

Delamere Forest GC member Gemma (22), pictured right by courtesy of Leaderboard Photography, is sharing third place on 73, one shot behind the joint leaders, Emmy Martin and Latanna Stone.

Annabell Fuller (Roehampton), the Sir Henry Cooper Junior Masters' girls' champion in 2016, is T9 with a 74.

Georgia Price (Bude and North Cornwall), 23, and British women's stroke play champion Sophie Lamb (Clitheroie),18, are T12 on the 75 mark.

Louisa Brunt (Royal Birkdale) is T43 with an 80.

Twice Helen Holm Trophy winner Olivia Winning (Rotherham), 21, is T65 after an 83.
