PAT WILSON MURCAR'S FIRST EVER LADY PRESIDENT

PAT WILSON MURCAR LINKS GC's FIRST LADY HONORARY PRESIDENT IN 117 YEARS!

Mrs Pat Wilson has been appointed honorary president of Murcar Links Golf Club - the first woman to hold the post since the club was formed in 1909.
She has been a member of the club for 46 years and has been ladies' club captain twice, 1988-1990 and 2010-2012. She was also Aberdeenshire Ladies county captain in 2002-2003.
Mrs Wilson is a senior women's golf international and has been women's champion of Murcar Links GC several times.
In 2004, she joined the board of the Scottish Ladies Golfing Association, chairing its selection committee for three years and handicap committee for two years.
In 2008,Mrs Wilson became chairman of the Scottish LGA.

Also at the club's annual meeting on Monday night, John A Black was elected captain. He has been a Murcar member for 35 years.
Former Walker Cup player Hugh B Stuart was elected one of the clubs' honorary vice-presidents. Born in Forres, Hugh joined Murcar Links in 1960 and was made an honorary life member in 1972.
