Aboyne Golf Club member Kimberley Beveridge, a 21-year-old second-year student at Tyler Junior College, Texas, won the TJC Fall Intercollegiate by two strokes at Pine Springs Golf Club yesterday (Monday).
Kimberley, pictured, who led by five shots after a one-under-par first round of 71, added a second-round 77 for a four-over-par total of 148.
Runner-up on 150 was Bethany Acey (Murray state) with scores of 76 and 74 for 150.
One of Kimberley's team-mates, BoYoung Park finished third on 151 (79-72).
The course was a par 72 of 6,149yd.
Beveridge's success comes a day or two after Aberdeenshire were beaten 5-4 by Dumfriesshire in the title decider at the Scottish women's county finals at Aboyne golf course.
Kimberley had to return to America for the start of the 2016-2017 term and so was not available for the Aberdeenshire team.
She won the North of Scotland women's championship in 2015 but has lost in the last three Aberdeenshire county championship finals.
This is her first win in America.
