Reward for achieving five birdies in a row

Nicola Robertson from Dunblane wins King

University "Play of the Year" award

By COLIN FARQUHARSON
Nicola Robertson from Dunblane, a member of Stirling Golf Club, has won an annual "Play of the Year" award at King University, Bristol in the state of Tennessee.
Her "Play of the Year" which was judged to have surpassed any other in all the sports on the King University male and female programmes, was achieving five birdies in a row in the middle of her second round in finishing fifth in the recent Hilton Head Lakes Invitational.
Nicola is "delighted," says her proud mum Hazel who sent the picture to Kirkwoodgolf.co.uk

"The tournament at which she had five birdies in a row actually coincided with  her 21st birthday and we all flew over to be with her which was wonderful.
"I think the pressure of her big brother there, he having flown 16 hours from Qatar to surprise her did the job!"
