Meek and Allen tie for ninth place, help 

Missouri finish fourth

Carnoustie's Jess Meek and Missouri University team-mate Emma Allen, a freshman from Southampton, tied for ninth place in a field of 85 players at the Mountain View Collegiate at Tucson, Arizona yesterday.
Their combined performance helped Missouri (875) to finish fourth in the team event behind Georgia (859), Iowa State (866) and Purdue (874) in a field of 15 teams.
Georgia freshman Jillian Hollis made all the running to win by five strokes with scores of 66, 67 and 72 for 11-under-par 205 over a 6,227yd course.
Meek, pictured right, had rounds of 70, 74 and 73 for one-over 217, birdieing only the third but bogeying the 12th and 17th.

Allen had birdies at the sixth, 16th and short 17th but ran up a double bogey 6 at the 14th after bogeying the 10th.
Channel Islander Aimee Ponte (Texas-San Antonio) from Guernsey finished T22 on 221 with rounds of 72, 74 and 75.
Scot Connie Jaffrey (Kansas State) from Kilwinning shot 76, 73 and 74 for 224 and a T34 finish.
Dulcie Sverdloff (Kennesaw State) from Southend finished T42 alongside Becky McGeehan (Texas-San Antonio) on 225. Dulcie scored 70, 79 and 76; Becky 71, 79 and 75.
Blackburn's Brogan Townend (Texas-San Antonio) shot 72, 76 and 78 for 226 and a T45 finish.
Kansas State freshman Chloe Weir from Belfast  found her feet in the final round with a one-over 73 for 237. Her earlier scores were 81 and 83.
