Kinross student Hill scores first USA win

Calum Hill from Kinross, in his last month or two as a student at Western New Mexico University, scored his first win on the US men's college circuit with a 10-under-par total of 200 in the St Edwards's Invitational tournament over three rounds at Onion Creek Club, Austin in Texas.

Calum, pictured, had rounds of 66, 65 and 69 over a par-70 course of 6,519yd. He won by eight strokes from the joint runners-up. 
James Bolton (Newman University), a third-year student from Bolton, finished T9 in a field of 80 players. He had scores of 68, 72 and 75 for 215.
Harry Wetton (Western New Mexico), a junior from Bedford, shot 76-75-68 for T22 on 219.
Tom Neve, a Western New Mexico senior from Epsom, and James Hornsby (Newman University), a junior from Liverpool, tied on 221. Neve scored 71, 75 and 75, Hornsby 77, 72 and 72.
Ross White (Western New Mexico), a second-year man from Dollar, finished T55 on 226 with scores of 70, 77 and 73.
Team-mate Dan Young, a senior from Cheshire, shot 76, 79 and 74 for 229 and a T62 finish.
