Sophie Madden from Essex, a freshman student at Nova Southeastern Univerfsity, finished T22 in a field of 77 at this week's Barry University Women's Invitational tournament over trhree rounds at the Senator Course @ Schula's Golf Club, Miami Lakes.

Sophie, pictured right, had scores of 74, 69 and 80 for 223  - pity about that last round which certainly cost her a top 20 finish, maybe even a top 10 raiting.
Two players tied for victory on six-under-par 210 which was six shots inside the previous tournament record set by English student Jessica Bradley.
Kristy Ortiz (Lynn University) (70-69-71) beat Felicia Leftinger (Florida Tech) (72-65-72) with a par at the third hole of a sudden-death play-off, becoming the first freshman to win the title since Jessica Bradley in 2011. Jessica, pictured below,  also won the tournament in 2012.  
From Bishops Nympton, North Devon, Jessica Bradley, pictured left, was a student at Lynn University until completing her course at the end of the 2014-2015 US college golf season.
Florida Tech (866) won the team title by eight shots from hosts Barry (874) with Lynn (882) third, Rollins College (883) fourth and Nova SE (886) fifthin a field of 13 teams.
