Leona and Alice share 8th place in Landfall 

Tradition with one-under-par 71s

World No 1 female amateur Leona Maguire (Duke University) and another GB and I international player Alice Hewson (Clemon) are joint eighth after the first round of the Landfall Tradition women's college tournament at CC of Landfall, Wilmington, North Carolina.
Over a par-72 course of 6,152 yards, Maguire and Hewson both shot one-under-par 71s and will start the second round four shots behind Isabelle DiLisio (Notre Dame) whose 67 gave her a one-stroke lead over Maguire's Duke team-mate, Sandy Choi
Monifieth's Heather Munro (Elon University) is T13 after a par 72.
 Fellow Scot Rachael Taylor (North Carolina State) had a 73 to be T21.
Ariana Coyle Diaz (Penn State) from Iteland had a 74 for a T28 overnight placing.
British women's open amateur champion from last year and former World No 1, Celine B7outier (Duke) from Paris had a 75 for T36.
Alison Knowles (Michigan State) had a 76 for T45 placing.
