Catriona Matthew makes Handa Cup debut
in Florida for World v United States teams

Catriona Matthew will make her debut for the World Team against Team USA in the 10th annual Handa Cup tournament at Palm Aire Country Club, Sarasota, Florida from November 12 to 14.

It is a US Legends Tour stroke-play event and the World Team is drawn from eight nations and includes England's Laura Davies and Trish Johnson.
Nancy Lopez, the 2005 American Solheim Cup captain, will lead a USA team that will include past Solheim Cup captains Juli Inkster, Pat Bradley, Beth Daniel, Rosie Jones and Meg Mallon
“Catriona Matthew is a great player and she’ll definitely add to their team,” said Lopez. “She’s cool as a cucumber when she’s playing and she is very consistent.”
“These players are still very competitive and there are so many great champions on both sides,” said Lopez. “It’s a lot of fun now to be the American captain and to lead them the best way I can to hopefully repeat as Handa Cup champions.”
