Jen Saxton beats Laura Walker in P and K final

No 2 seed Jen Saxton beat leading qualifier and twice former champion Laura Walker by 5 and 4 in an all-Muckhart final of the Perthshire and Kinross women's county championship at Strathmore Golf Centre today.
Laura played her best golf in reaching the final - as often happens - but Jen gave a very steady performance. She was two up at the turn.
It was Saxton's second appearance in the final. She lost two years ago.
Amy Thomson, who plays off 19 at Dunblane and was the leading qualifier, won the handicap title. She won by 4 and 2 in the final  against home course player Cathy McNab who has a handicap of 26,
In the morning's semi-finals, Walker, county champion in 2008 and 2010, beat US college student Nicola Robertson (Stirling) 6 and 5.
No 2 qualifier Jen was a winner by 3 and 1 over Laura Campbell (Pitlochry).
