Pamela Pretswell finished sixth and Vikki Laing joint 17th in the Ladies European Tour's Women's World Championship at Mission Hills golf complex. Hainan southern China earlier today (Sunday).

The Hamilton player, pictured, shot 73, 72, 69 and 71 for a seven-under-par aggregate of 285 over the par-73 course, improving her overnight position from seventh to sixth - a great performance by the Scot in such a strong field.

Pamela birdied the third, seventh and eighth in a three-under-par outward half of 33.
She moved to four under par for the day with a birdie at the 10th but then slipped to bogeys at the long 13th and 16th in an inward half of one-over 38.
Fellow Scot Vikki Laing had scores of 75, 72, 75 and 72 for 294.
Vikki bogeyed the first but had an eagle 3 at the long second and followed up that with birdies at the fifth and sixth before dropping another shot at the seventh in an outward 34 (two under).
Then came another bad run with a bogey at the 10th and a double bogey 5 at the short 11th but the Musselburgh player got on track for a strong finish with birdies at the fourth and 16th and one-over 38 for the second nine.
Vikki earned £6,453 for a share of 17th place.
