STACY LEWIS TWO OFF THE LEAD

If Stacy Lewis is to break the South Korea monopoly of LPGA Tour event first prizes this year she will have to make up a two-shot leeway on Hyo-Joo Kim, third-round leader in the Founders Cup tournament.
Stacy is lying second on 202 after rounds of 64, 71 and 67.
Hyo-Joo Kim has scored 65, 69 and 66 for 200.

ALISON LEE'S 63 TIED COURSE RECORD

Alison Lee stiffed a 9-iron to a foot to close with a birdie Saturday and tie the course record
Lee’s 9-under-par 63 at Marriott Wildfire Golf Club gives the LPGA rookie a chance to claim her first victory in just her third start this year. She’s three shots back going into the final round.
Lee didn’t know she tied Karrie Webb, Cristie Kerr, Ai Miyazato and Hee-Won Han for the course record until media told her.
“Wow, that’s cool,” Lee said.

Lee, 20, won the Annika Award as the top collegiate women’s player when she was a freshman at UCLA. She was a sophomore when she won co-medalist honours at LPGA Q-School in December and turned pro. She’s still enrolled at UCLA, however, and just finished final exams last week. She’s taking the next quarter off but is already committed to returning for summer courses to keep pursuing a degree.
