FORT WILLIAM STUDENT HELPS COLLEGE WIN USA TITLE
Alasdair Ross (18) from Fort William, a sophomore (second year) student at Union College, Kentucky, was part of the winning team in the Appalachian Athletic Conference Men's Golf Fall Tournament at Niota, Tennessee on October 13-14.
Day 2 of the tournament was played in very difficult conditions with a delay due to the torrential rain. The tournament ended in a tie for first place between Union and Tennessee Wesleyan.
All five members of each team then took part in a play-off hole which resulted in Union coming out on top.
Individually Alasdair Ross posted a score of 73 on day 1 and 78 on day 2, finishing in a tie for 19th place with his Union College team mate Andy Dusek from Woking
