Laura
Murray finished a creditable fifth in the Azores Ladies Open today
(Sunday) after steady scores of 75, 72 and 74 for a five-over-par total
of 221 at Golf
de Batalha, San Miguel Island in the Atlantic.
The
Alford player looked like fading out of the top 10 when she took 40
shots, including a double bogey 5 at the short third in her final round
but the Paul Lawrie Golf Centre player pulled herself together with
birdies at the 10th, 12th and 13th in an inward half of 34.
Craigielaw's
Jane Turner slipped back to joint 24th place on 234 with scores of 75,
79 and 80. Her last round halves of 41-39 included a double bogey 7 at
the long second and seven bogeys.
Winner by
three strokes was Norway's Tonje Daffinrud with 71, 68 and 73 for four-under 212.
