JOINT 19th PLACE AT STRASBOURG

Gemma Webster (Succession Group) was the top Scot in joint 19th place
in a field of 88 at the end of the first round of the Open Generali de
Strasbourg, France today (Thursday).
Gemma had birdies at the third, fifth and 18th, cancelled out by bogeys at the first, fourth and seventh.
Jane Turner (Craigielaw) shot a 73 for a share of 30th place. A double bogey 6 at the 18th undid the good work which was highlighted by birdies at the seventh and long 17th.
Alford's Laura Murray shot a two-over-par 74 to be lying joint 42nd

Paul Lawrie Golf Centre player birdied the long fourth and 14th but
dropped three shots over two early holes - a double bogey at the short
fifth and a bogey at the sixth. She also bogeyed the second.
Rookie pro Georgia Hall, the former British women's open amateur champion, leads with a bogey-free, six-under-par 66.
