NCAA WOMEN'S CHAMPIONSHIP

STEPHANIE MEADOW FIRST OF CURTIS

CUP SQUAD TO BREAK PAR AT TULSA

Stephanie Meadow (Alabama) got into her stride a day late with a one-under-par 69 in the second round of the NCAA Women's Championship at Tulsa Country Club, Oklahoma.
The Northern Ireland native improved by seven shots and went up from T54 to T24 on the individual table - 10 shots behind the leader by three, Alexandra Kaui (Oklahoma) (68-67).
Curtis Cup team-mate Bronte Law (UCLA) also improved, from 74 to 71, for 147 and by 10 places to T28.
Charlotte Thomas (Washington) went back the way, but only slightly, following up a 74 with a 75 for 149 and dropping from T28 to T50.
Hayley Davis (Baylor), who is not in the GB and I Curtis Cup squad and who is playing at Tulsa as an individual, improved from 79 to 71 for 150 and from T91 to T58.
Back to the Curtis Cup team players for St Louis, Missouri in a matter of weeks and Gemma Dryburgh (Tulane) also got going, improving from an 80 to a 73 and from T102 to T82 on 153.
Oklahoma (575) lead the team race from Duke (578), Arizona State (580) and UCLA (584).
Washington (588) are T9, Alabama (590) are T11 and Tulane (597) are T16.
