INTERNATIONALS AT WORPLESDON
Scotland’s team of Loretto players won the Independent Schools Home Internationals at the weekend for a fourth time.
The 2014 Home Internationals were held at Worplesdon, the glorious heathland course in Surrey on March 29-30 with perfect weather over the two days.
Low score of the day  was a one-over-par 72  by

Two of his playing partners scored 75 each to take
their three from four total to 222.
Ireland's players, Cameron Mills, Karl Eccles and Scott Montgomery, shot 74,75 and 82 respectively to have a combined score of 231.
England  followed on 244 with Wales with 268
Teams from the four countries included
Wales – Monmouth
England – Haberdashers Askes
Scotland – Loretto
Ireland – Campbell College
All  the teams and staff had an enjoyable evening meal after the first days  play. With talk of how they could improve their scores on the following  day.  
Sunday saw another glorious day at Worplesdon. Nearly all the  players improved on their previous day's play with player of the day being  Ben Wellington from Monmouth.
Carding a 72 after his first day's score of  103 was a great achievement. Loretto held their nerve and came out on top  with a  total score of 451 for the two days

Player of the competition was William Aldred from Haberdashers who carded a 3 under par 69 on the second day's play.
