University of Arizona Junior Shelby Martinek leads the 59^th Harder Hall Women's Invitational after posting a one-under-par, first-round 71 which included four birdies and three bogeys. 

 Martinek holds a one-shot lead over the England's India Clyburn, picture by Cal Carson Golf Agency, who posted six birdies to go with her six bogeys.   

Harder Hall Country Club is playing at 6,150 yards for the championship, which concludes on Saturday, January 11 after 72 holes.

2012 Forever Forty-nine champion Martha Leach of Hebron, Kentucky holds a two-shot lead in that division over Cape Coral, Florida's Gigi Higgins.

In the Ben Roman division, defending champion Nancy Jackson of Boynton Beach, Florida shot 78 to hold a one shot lead over Karen Smith of Chestertown, Maryland.
