There were words of encouragement for former England girl international Heidi Baek, now a freshman student at the University of Maryland, from the team's head coach after this week's Palmetto Intercollegiate tournament at Kiawah Island, South Carolina.
Heidi had steady scores of 76,73 and 76 for a total of 225 over the par-72 course (5,906yd) for joint 26th place - her second top-30 finish in America.
"We're looking for more production from our back end of the team, but the future is bright for us to achieve our goals by the end of the season," said coach Rodenhaver.
"Heidi Baek had her best tournament so far. It was good to see her play well. She's capable of being a great player for us."
Heidi had a quadruple bogey 8 at the 10th hole of her first-round 76 in which her halves were 33-43.
Had she been able to get a par 4 at that hole, Baek would have finished joint 14th.
Hampshire's Sian Evans (East Tennessee State) finished T32 on 227 with scores of 74-79-74.
Melissa Siviter (Georgia State) from the West Midlands finishee T78 in a field of 95 players. She had rounds of 79, 81 and 80 for 240.
The winner was Maria Jose Benavides (Campbell University) with a three-under-par total of 213 which saw her head the field by four strokes.
Campbell (866) also won the team title ahead of East Tennessee (887) with Coastal Carolina (891) third and Maryland, Michigan and Elon figuring in a three-way tie for fourth place on 894. A total of 17 teams took part.
