SCOTS BOYS DOING WELL IN BELGIUM
Ewan Scott (St Andrews) and Bearsden's Ewen Ferguson are doing very well in the Belgian junior international golf tournament at Royal Belgique Golf Club near Brussels. With a total of 446, the Scotland pair are lying second in the team event, two shots behind leaders Italy, with one round to go. Individually, Scott is in third place with sccores of 75, 73 and 74 for 222, five shots behind the Italian leader. Ferguson is also in leading 10 with rounds of 73, 77 and 74 for 224. In the girls' team event, Ailsa Summers (Carnoustie Ladies) and Lauren Whyte (St Regulus) are in eighth position on 494, 41 shots behind leaders Spain. Summers (79, 83, 82 for 244) is joint 20th in the individual girls' event, 24 shots behind the Spanish leader. Whyte is joint 28th with scores of 81, 90 and 79 for 250. |
