ADAM HEDGES WINS IN ENGLAND 1-2 IN NORTH CAROLINA
Adam Hedges from Bromley, a student at Belmont Abbey College, Charlotte in North Carolina, won the Richard Rendleman Invitational college tournament in an England 1-2 finish at the Country Club of Salisbury, North Carolina this week.
Adam, pictured right, had rounds of 71 and 68 for a three-under-par total of 139 over a par-71 course of 6,665yd.
Runner-up, only a shot behind, was Scott Lambert (UNC-Pembroke) from Matfen Hall in the North-east of England. Scott scored 71-69.
Also totalling 140 was Daniel Claytor (Barton) with a pair of 70s.
Liam Ashby (Carson-Newman) from Dublin finished joint fourth on 141 with scores of 70-71.
Gavin Hay, also Carson-Newman, from Glasgow came joint sixth on 142 with a pair of 71s.
Rounding up a good tournament for UK and Ireland students was Jamie Chapman (Lincoln Memorial) from Sussex with rounds of 71 and 74 for 145 and joint 15th place in a field of 90 players.
Scott Lambert's performance helpd UNC-Pembroke (571 win the team title ahead of Lincoln Memorial (581) and Carson-Newman (582) in a field of 17 teams.
Jack Hiscock a winner at Turkey Creek, Kansas
And there was another English winner on the US college golf circuit this week - Jack Hiscock from Swindon.
A student at Bethany College, Kansas, Jack, pictured right, won the Swede Spring Invitational by three shots at Turkey Creek GC, McPherson in Kansas with rounds of 67 and 73 for 140.
In a field of 79, Bethany College team-mate James Tisdale from Liverpool finished 10th with 74-82 for 156.
Bethany College (612) finished second to Southwestern College (594) in the team event.
BEN TAYLOR SECOND AT AUSTIN, TEXAS
Ben Taylor from Leatherhead, a sophomore student at Nova Southeastern University, Fort Lauderdale in Florida finished second in a field of 90 players at the St Edwards Invitational college tournament at Grey Rock Golf Club, Austin in Texas.
Ben, pictured left, shot 67-74-72 for a total of three-under-213 but still finished six shots behind the winner Daniel Stapff (Barry University) who scored 68-69-70 for nine-under 207.
Two more Nova Southeastern students, Mitch Farrer from West Sussex and James Swan from London, finished T42 and T63 respectively.
Farrer scored 83-77-76 for 236, while Swan had rounds of 78-79-83 for 240.
Nova Southeastern (883) won the team event ahead of Barry University (888) in a field of 17 teams.
SAM WHITEHEAD jt 12th at Vallejo, California
Sam Whitehead from Milton Keynes, a student at Grand Canyon University, Arizona, finished joint 12th in a field of 70 for the Pioneer Shootout college tournament at Hiddenbrooke GC, Vallejo in California.
Sam, pictured right, shot 73, 76 and 81 for 230 - nine shots behind the winner by two, Chris Herzon (East Bay, California) (72-71-78).
CSU-East Bay (907) won the team title ahead of Grand Canyon (914) in a field of 13 teams.
ALEX IRVIN MAKES TOP 20 IN GEORGIA
Alex Irvin (Berry College) from Essex finished T15 in a huge field of 111 playewrs at the Rome-News Tribune Invitational at Stonebridge GC, Rome, Georgia.
Alex scored 72-77 for 149 over a par-72, 6,732yd couse. He finished 10 shots behind the winner by three, Hundson Keener (La Grange College) who scored 66-73 for 139.
Berry College (597) finished third behind Cumbeerlands (586) and Central Alabama (589) in the team event contested by 16 squads.
RAFFI JUST OUTSIDE TOP 20 AT SAN JOSE
Raffi Dyer from Hayling Island, a student at Oregon University, finished T22 in a field of 66 players at the Juli Inkster Spartan Invite college tournament at Almaden Country Club, San Jose in California.
Over a par-72, 6,169yd course, Raffi, pictured left, got off to a slow start with an 81 but settled to tag on a pair of 75s for 231.
In a California 1-2, Joanne Lee (71-70-73 for 214) won by one shot from team-mate Daniela Holmqvit (71-69-75).
Not surprisingly, California (879) won the team title easily from Oregon (982) with UC Davis (901) - that's where Ann Walker is head coach - finishing third in a field of 12 teams.

Megan Garland from Goole, Yorkshire, an 18-year-old freshman student at Daytona State University, Florida, finished T27 in a field of 86 players at the Hurricane Invitational college tournament at Miami's Deering Bay Yacht and Country Club - sounds very posh!
Megan, pictured right, a former pupil of Selby College, scored 80, 78 and 78 for 236.
Another English student in the States, Ami Storey (Kansas State) from the North-east of England, finished T54 on 248 (77-81-90).
Former Welsh girl international Kelly Miller (Daytona State) finished T60 on 249 (85-83-81).
The winner by one shot was Charlotte Lorentzen (Georgia State) with scores of 74, 73 and 72 for a six-over- total of 219 over a par-71, 6,017yd course.
Ohio State beat Miami in a play-off for the team title after they had tied on 918 - eight shots ahead of third-placed Georgia State.
Daytona State (960) came ninth of 16 and Kansdas State (966) 12th).
