LIAM JOHNSTON'S TOP 20 FINISH AT WILMINGTON, NORTH CAROLINA

Liam Johnston from Dumfries, a freshman student at Tennessee-Chattanooga, finished 17th in a field of 66 players at the Seahawk Intercollegiate tournament at Country Club of Landfall (Nicklaus Course), Wilmington in North Carolina.
Liam, picture by courtesy of Kenny Smith, had ever-improving rounds of 77, 74 and 70 for a total of five-over-par 221 over the 6,746yd course.
He finished 12 shots behind the winner, Wesley Bryan (South Carolina) (68-71-70 for seven-under 209). Cyrus Stewart (Wake Forest) was runner-up on 211 (71-72-68).
Neil Henderson from North Berwick, a student at Old Dominion, shot 76-75-75 for 226 and a T32 finish. On the same mark was another former winner of the Scottish schoolboys' title, Chris Robb from Banchory. Chris (Tennessee-Chattanooga) shot 77-72-77 for 226.
Tom Wilde (Old Dominion) from Berkshire finished T35 on 228 (76-77-75) and team-mate Garth McGee from Bangor, near Belfast finished T37 on 229 (73-79-77).
East Carolina (864) won the team title ahead of Wake Forest (873) and South Carolina (875) with Tennessee-Chattanooga (879) fourth. Old Dominion (898) came eighth of 12.

ROSIE DOWN THE FIELD IN ARIZONA

Rosie Davies from London, a student at Indiana University, finished T46 in a field of 66 at the Westbrook Spring Invitational at Westbrook Village Golf Club, Peoria in Arizona.
Rosie scored 77-75-75 for 227- 22 shots behind the winner by two, Nora Lucas (Illinois) (70-67-68 for 11-under 205 over a par-72, 6178yd course).
Ami Storey (Kansas State) from Ponteland in the North-east of England finished T53 with scores of 81-76-73 for 230.

HAYLEY DAVIS LYING JT 10TH AT NEW ORLEANS

Hayley Davis (Baylor) from Dorset has dropped back to T10 in a field of 83 at the Allstate Sugar Bowl Intercollegiate at English Turn G and CC, New Orleans after a second-round 75 over the par-72, 6105yd course.
Hayley is 11 shots behind Cassy Isagawa (Oregon) who outstripped the field with a brilliant second-round 65 for a 36-hole tally of eight-under 136. Cassy has gone six shots clear of Lisa McCloskey (South Carolina) (71-71).
GB and I Curtis Cup team contender Stephanie Meadow (Alabama) is T16 after rounds of 76-72 for 148.
Aberdeen's Gemma Dryburgh (Tulane) is T35 after a pair of 75s for 150.
Raffy Dyer (Oregon) from Hayling Island is T50 on 154, having shot 76-78.
Final round is today.
South Carolina (585) lead the team title race from Duke (589) with Colorado (590) and Baylor (591) third and fourth overnight. Hosts Tulane are down in 10th place in a field of 15.

GRANT FORREST 5th AFTER ROUND 2 in CALIFORNIA

Grant Forrest (San Diego), the 2010 Scottish boys champion, is lying fifth of 72 with one round to go in the North Ranch Intercollegiate at West Lake Village, California.
Grant has scored 69-73 so far for two-over-par 142 over a par-70 course of 6,728yd.
Leading the field are two San Diego State players, Matt Hoffenburg (66-73) and Alex Kang (67-72).
A third San Diego State team member, Tom Berry from Surrey is back in T40 with scores of 74 and 81 for 155.
Great rivals San Diego State (573) and San Diego (578) will be battling it out for team honours over the final round.

LIZ HAYCOCK INSIDE TOP 20 AT KIAWAH ISLAND

Liz Haycock (Old Dominion) from Birmingham is T18 in a field of 79 with one round to go in the Kiawah Island Intercollegiate over the Cougar Point (6001yd) and Oak Point (5901yd) courses at the South Carolina venue.
Liz has had scores of 78-72 for 150 and is seven shots off the pace being set by Fanny Cnops (North Carolina-Greensboro) (72-71) and Erin Selfridge (Daytona State) (73-70) on one-under 143.
Old Dominion team-mate Kim Bradbury from Derbyshire is T45 on 154 with rounds of 80-74.
Anna Carling (Arkansas State) from Vale of Glamorgan is T62 on 156 (78-78).

Irish pair in top ten after two rounds at Sawgrass

Ireland's Paul Dunne (Alabama-Birmingham) (74-71) and Kevin Phelan (North Florida) (73-72) are sharing 10th place in a field if 87 with a round to go in the John Hayt Collegiate Invitational at Sawgrass Country Club, Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida.
Paul hails from Greystones and Kevin from Waterford.
Julien Brun (Texas Christian) (68-71) leads on five-under 139 over the 6,977yd course from team-mate Johan De Beer (68-72) and Sang Yi (Louisiana State) (67-73) on 140.
Garrick Porteous (Tennessee) from Bamburgh Castle in the NE of England is T35 after scores of 76-75 for 151.
Tom Brown (Mississippi) from Hertsfordshire is T59 on 155 with scores of 76-79.
