By COLIN FARQUHARSON
Colin@scottishgolview.com
English students Lizzi Over (Barry University, Florida) from Lincolnshire and Melissa Siviter (Belmont Abbey College) from the West Midlands both finished in the top 10 in a field of 85 players at their first US college circuit event of the year - the Tusculum/Kiawah Island Intercollegiate at Cougar Point Golf Club, Kiawah Island.
Lizzi, pictured right, finished joint seventh on 149 with rounds of 73 and 76. She was only two shots behind the three players who tied for first place - Emily Flannigan (Florida Southern) (74-73), Meghan Moore (UNC-Pembroke) (75-72) and Melanie Andette (Florida Southern) (74-73).

Melissa, pictured right, a Staffordshire county team player, finished ninth on 150 with scores of 78 and 72, her second effort being the joint lowest of the second round.
Her performance helped Belmont Abbey College finished third of 17 in the team event with a total of 616 - 11 shots behind winners Florida Southern and 10 behind runners-up Rollins.
Barry University, Florida came fifth on 619.

DEATH OF P and K COUNTY STALWART, LIZ MISKIMMIN

FROM THE PERTH AND KINROSS LCGA WEBSITE
It is with a heavy heart that we announce the sad passing of P and K member, team member, Past Captain, Past President, honorary member and very dear friend Liz Miskimmin.
Liz was a great ambassador for County Golf with boundless energy and enthusiasm she was indeed a joy to know. Liz worked tirelessly for P and K and indeed Scottish golf and for many, me included, golf would not have been so special if it hadn't been for Liz.
She was always ready with a quiet word and wink of encouragement and always knew just the right things to say. She had a superb sense of humour and was at ease with both young and old. Liz will always have a place in the heart of P and K, we are all blessed to have known her.
Liz worked so hard for so many and she fought her last battle with quiet dignity, courage and humour but she lost the fight on Saturday night in the Macmillan Wing of Perth Royal Infirmary.
Below is a list of just a few of Liz's golfing achievements with P and K. I will gather more information and post a fuller piece for Liz following her funeral which is to be held at Perth Crematorium on Friday, February 18 at 2pm.
Liz joined P and K in 1986. She was previously a member of Stirling and  Clackmannan. She played for the county team for several years between 1988 and 1999. She was P and K Champion of Champions in 1996 and was capped for Scottish Vets in 1998. She was P and K Captain in 2000 and 2001. Became President in October 2004 and was President for five years until 2009. She was made an honorary member in 2009 after retiring as President.
DAWN BUTCHART

FROM THE SLGA WEBSITE
Club champion at four different golf clubs, Liz was champion of Stirling and Clackmannan on three occasions, also East of Scotland champion and Scottish Veterans champion.
She captained Stirling and Clackmannan and from 1986 was a member of Perth and Kinross where she was county team member, captain and president.]
Liz was the international selector for Scotland on the LGU’s selection committee from 2001 – 2003. She joined the SLGA Board in 2008 where she was Chairman of Selectors and a director of clubgolf Scotland Ltd until she retired at the AGM in 2010.
Her deep love of the game, great commonsense and mischievous sense of humour will be missed by all who knew her.
