Royal Ashdown Forest, venue for last week's British women's open amateur stroke-play championship, wants to stage another Ladies Golf Union event.
The club at Forest Row, East Sussex was one of the prime movers in the formation of the Ladies Golf Club in 1893, yet last week's event was the first under the auspices of the LGU to be staged on one of its two bunker-less courses.
