The biggest mover in this week's updated Women's World Amateur Golf Rankings is the new British women's open amateur champion, 16-year-old Lauren Taylor (Woburn) from Rugby.
Lauren, pictured right by Cal Carson Golf Agency, was No. 267 going into last week's "British" at Royal Portrush.
Now, having become the youngest winner of the title, Lauren has rocketed 229 places to No 38.
Lydia Ko, the 14-year-old New Zealander who is playing in this week's Astor Trophy team match-play tournament at Fairhaven GC, Lancashire is still No 1 but her Kiwi team-mate Cecilia Cho, only 16 years of age, has gone down from No 2 to No 3 to make way for Japan's Mitsuki Katahira who played successfully on the US women's college circuit in the season just ended.
The highest ranked British player is Northern Ireland teenager Stephanie Meadow who won three events as a freshman at the University of Alabama over the 2010-2011 US college season, is in the GB and I team of nine for next week's Vagliano Trophy match at Royal Porthcawl.
